ABOUT

Arkadelphia Kid's Club was established by Third Street Baptist Church in August 2001, as a ministry to help the working families of this church, families from other churches, and the unchurched of the community, with their childcare needs during out of school time. TSBC recognized at this time that our community was lacking in available quality programs for school-age children. With the completion of the Family Life Center, space became available to provide such a program. A board of directors was selected by the church, an executive director appointed, and finally the application and acceptance of a child care facility license by the State of Arkansas.  The facility is licensed to accommodate up to 80 children.

Out of school programs are vital to our children.  The term “out of school” includes not just the “after school” hours, but summer, holidays and other times school is dismissed as well.

SUMMER/HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Field Trips

Weekly field trips are scheduled, with some requiring extra fees.  All field trips will be posted a week ahead of time in order to provide parents with plenty of notice. If you would not like your child to attend the field trip, it may be arranged for them to stay back at AKC with another teacher or group.  However, all students who would like to attend, will be allowed to, regardless of ability to pay extra fees.  No students will be left behind.  Parents are welcome to attend the field trips as well.

Water Park

During the summer months, AKC will make a weekly trip to the Arkadelphia Aquatic Park every Wednesday. While at the water park, students will have 2 hours to swim and play during a time exclusively available to AKC students. The cost of admission is covered by their weekly tuition.

Daily Devotions

During the summer, the devotion time is set up like a Vacation Bible School.  The teachers use a themed curriculum and have interactive games and activities throughout the day.

Snacks and Lunch

Students are provided with a nutritious morning and afternoon snack.  Lunch is not provided, so students must bring their own packed lunch from home.
